Denver Urban Servant Corps has dedicated the south room of the entrance to the Ogden House as a Lutheran World Relief drop off site. When that room fills up they order a semi truck to take everything to Minneapolis to be distributed around the world. By offering this service congregations are saved the expense of having to mail their donations directly to Minneapolis. Some years Urban Servant Corps has sent as many as two semi trucks full of quilts, clothing, health kits, school kits, and other items. The last truck load went out in June of last year and the room is not filling up very fast. With world events being what they are the need will be great for these items and the sooner the room fills the sooner a new truck can be dispatched.

If congregations have items to drop off they can call the USC office at (303) 894-0076 and talk to Sarah Hafner. Urban Servant Corps cannot pick up, but they are available as much as possible for drop off with their limited staff. Please note: the USC can no longer accept clothing of any kind for drop off.

Hospitals in Iraq have been especially hard hit by years of sanctions and a crumbling infrastructure - many are without the most basic equipment, or trying to get by with equipment that is no longer functioning.
