Get Ready for RMS Trip to Mexico: June 20- 28 This
2007 trip to the Lutheran Center in Mexico City will increase our
understanding of our neighbors to the south, opening our eyes to the
cultural, economic and political realities of Mexico. If you are

latest VPA summary A "blog" is short for "web log" and it is a way

What Women Want: A Retreat A women’s retreat
themed What Women Want will be held April 12-15 at Rainbow Trail Lutheran
Camp. Based on three of the most popular chapters in Lisa T. Bergren's
upcoming book, What Women Want, this retreat will help you tackle
your deepest cravings -- a deeper relationship with God, a stronger faith,
a sense of contentment, and a true understanding of love in our lives.

Rainbow Trail Men's Fly Fishing Retreat April
26 - 29 Men, come to Rainbow Trail to experience a time of faith
renewal, fellowship and adventure! This weekend’s adventure will be
fly-fishing in the famed Arkansas River and novice to expert fishermen are
encouraged to attend. Bible study, worship and prayer will be woven into
the weekend so all can come away renewed spiritually, mentally and
physically. Pastor Dave Risendal will be our spiritual leader for the
weekend. The cost for this retreat is $175. Click

Available for Summer Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp has room for one

Rainbow Trail Bridging Borders Trip Available July
22-28 Rainbow Trail's Bridging Borders Mexico program travels to
Juarez, Mexico with high school youth. The youth and Rainbow Trail partner
with Casas por Cristo and a Mexican family to build a needed home.
Throughout the week, youth and their leaders will experience Christ
through service, worship, devotion, and the people of Mexico. The week
available for this experience is July 22-28, 2007. For more information

Rainbow Trail High Adventure Trips Rainbow Trail offers high
adventure trips through Compass
Points Guiding Youth in New Directions. With Compass Points
each group is able to create the ideal adventure for their week long
experience in the backcountry of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Trips are
still available for groups throughout the summer with a variety of
activities to fill the week. Activities include: backpacking, white-water
rafting, low & high ropes, and service.
Rainbow Trail offers
the opportunity for individual Jr. and Sr. High youth to attend a Compass
Points trip through their "Open Weeks" during the week of July 29 - August
4, 2007. For more information regarding setting up your own trip or
individuals interested in attending the July 29 - August 4 trip, please

to take part in a Compass Points trip has become available! Immanuel
Lutheran Church of Story City, Iowa is currently looking for Sr. High
youth to become members of their trip. The group has 6 available spots for

Rainbow Trail Men's Golf Retreat September 13 - 16 A lush
green fairway before you, a club in your hand and your ball on the
tee...sound interesting so far? Faith on the Fairways will offer you the
opportunity to play 45 holes of golf while finding the relationships held
between your life of faith and time spent in the game. Rocky Mountain
Synod Bishop Allan Bjornberg will be our spiritual leader for this weekend
of faith, fellowship and deepening our relationships with Christ. Bible
study, worship and prayer will be woven into the weekend so all can come

Pastor From the Congo Has Story to Tell Lupande
Mwenebitu and his family fled the war-torn Congo in 2002 to Tanzania
before finding safety at a refugee camp in Mozambique. They came to
America in the fall of 2005 and were sponsored by Joan Anderson Fangrow of
Lord of the Hills Lutheran Church. A highly educated and articulate
pastor, Lupande is available to speak to your congregation or organization
of any size regarding the Congo crisis. Don't miss this opportunity to

After Easter, Come Away and Rest
Awhile Come to a Called Back to the Well Clergy Day Apart April
16th. All ministers are invited to a monthly day apart at the Norbertine
Center in Albuquerque. The next Clergy Sabbath will be Monday, April 16th,
continuing the 3rd Monday of each month. We will begin at 9:30 am and end
by 4:00 pm. Cost for the day is $20 and includes lunch. You may choose to
attend one day or all of the days. There will be some time for us to
gather as a group and time for you to spend in silence. Bring your

Lutheran Campus Ministry Celebrates a
Milestone For 100 years, Lutheran Campus Ministry has been serving
the students, faculty and communities of our nation. Now it is time to
celebrate. Please join us in celebrating 100 years of Lutheran Campus
ministry nationwide and 50 years of Lutheran Campus Ministry in Colorado.
Sponsored by Lutheran Campus Ministries CU-Boulder, CSU-Fort Collins and
UNC- Greeley, the event will take place on Saturday, April 21 from 6 to 10
p.m. There will be dinner, a silent auction and dancing music with the Ed
Manteufel Jazz Band. The festivities will be held at King of Glory
Lutheran Church, 2919 North Wilson Avenue in Loveland, Colorado and a $30
per person donation is suggested.

The Spiritual Health Partnership and Rocky Mountain Synod Parish Health

Conference. This year's focus is promoting breast health, including
learning the new self-breast exam technique and learning how to cope with

Must Part with Concert Grand Piano Joyce Martin, a member of
Rejoice, Erie, CO, is moving to a more humid climate in the east in May,
and her grand piano won't do well with the humidity. She has for sale a
Charles R. Walter W190 grand piano, 6'4". The piano has a ten year

Fort Lewis College
Women: Low Rent Housing & Church Internship Christ the King
Lutheran in Durango, Colorado, is looking for four female Fort Lewis
College students to work as church interns five hours a week and live in
Luther House near campus for $150 a month next year. Christ the King has
begun a campus ministry outreach and Luther House will be an important

"Faces and Voices" Photo Exhibit at Salt Lake
City On Friday, April 20 from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Zion Evangelical

“Light Into the World”
Wednesday, April 25, 11:00 a.m. The annual Lutheran Worship
service at Iliff School of Theology is presented by the students of the
campus Lutheran Student Organization. "Light into the World", written by
Kent Gustavson, is a lively bluegrass setting of the Lutheran Eucharist
liturgy with banjo, mandolin and string bass. Bishop Alan Bjornberg will

“A View From the Underside: The
Legacy of Dietrich Bonhoeffer” Wednesday, April 25, 7:30
p.m. Dr. Al Staggs brings the stage to life in his nationally
acclaimed portrayal of Dietrich Bonhoeffer. The event, brought to Denver
by the Iliff Lutheran Student Organization (LSO), will be performed in the

Wartburg College Choir in Concert Cross of
Christ Lutheran Church, Broomfield will be hosting the Wartburg College

Global Mission Event 2007 At the ELCA Global
Mission Event, people of all ages from all over the world celebrate God's
mission and encourage and strengthen one another for global ministry. This
premiere skills building event will allow you and your congregation the
opportunity to receive the witness of international Christians, learn
about global music and dance, gain ministry skills, and encourage youth of
all ages to expand their understanding of their world, their faith and
their culture.

Greetings from Koinonia NYC! As the summer draws
near, we wanted to share with you a new ministry opportunity available for
your group—Summer Mini Servant Event Experiences. The Mini Servant Event
Experience is a three day, two night service and community building event
in New York City. Your group would participate in a Faith Walk at Ground
Zero and would serve in a service project with an NYC Lutheran
congregation or agency. Each day would include worship and discussion
around our summer theme: Listen! God is Calling! Finally, your
group would get to enjoy some of the sights of New York City through NYC
experience options such as Chinatown, Brooklyn Bridge, Times Square, or
Central Park! The Mini Servant Event Experience is open for groups of 8-15
participants, with housing at the Koinonia NYC Apartment, located at Our
Saviour’s Atonement Lutheran Church in Manhattan. If your group is under 8
people, you are welcome to inquire about a customized fee structure. More
