2012 Theological Conference

Old Story: New Day

January 23-26, 2012
Fort Collins, CO

Conference Overview

The narrative of Jesus is some two millennia old. One of our greatest challenges is how we tell and share that Old Story in our New Day.

At the 2012 Rocky Mountain Synod Theological Conference, Dr. Anna Carter Florence will address how preaching remains relevant in our context, in light of the new social networking which moves us radically away from a one-way system of communciation symbolized by the printing press.

In his blog, Pastor Keith Anderson asks, "How do we get beyond the printing press? How can we engage social media theologically? Where can Lutherans locate social media in our theological framework?"

Finally, Dr. Stanley Olson will consider what it means to be serving in church vocations within the context of the changes and challenges of our New Day.
