Faith Formation

Creating A Seamless Journey
for Passing on Faith

Mission:

To support, network and equip every institution, congregation, household and leader in the Rocky Mountain Synod to keep the Baptismal Promises; by creating a vital church-home partnership which nurtures and passes on faith,  through all the milestones related to one’s age and stage, from generation to generation.

Vision:

An active, living faith in Jesus Christ in each child, youth, young adult, adult, and elder in the Rocky Mountain Synod.

Strategies:

Over the past forty years there have been prophetic voices and organizations who have called upon the church to rethink how we effectively nurture and pass on faith. How do we grow disciples, who will use their gifts as servant leaders, to make a difference in their homes and in the world? You are invited to join us as we:

  • Live into this vision for creating a seamless journey of faith formation and discipleship with all ages and all generations
  • Discover effective approaches based on our Lutheran heritage, solid theology and current research
  • Share with one another effective faith practices and align our resources around a common mission and vision
  • Build networks in response and support for one another in this critical and urgent work of the church - in our congregations, institutions and in our households

“We will not hide what we know and have experienced from our children but tell the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and the Lord’s might, and other wonders the Lord has done.”
