This year’s SHYG will be November 19-21 at the Estes Park YMCA in the heart of the beautiful Rocky Mountains. The youth from your congregation, youth ministers and caring adults are invited to gather for a great weekend.

3. Cornerstone
CornerStone are young adults, 18 to 25, who will serve as peer ministers, small group leaders and servants of hospitality at the SHYG.

SHYG Medical Release Form
If your congregation has not already provided and collected a form, similar to this one, for each SHYG participant, then this form must be completed and two copies brought with you to the SHYG.
Expanded Permission Treatment Form
If your congregation has already gathered forms for Permission for Medical Treatment in Emergency Situations, then this form expands the permission to the RMS staff and SHYG Planning team. Needs to be completed and stapled to the congregation’s existing forms and brought with you to the SHYG. This required information was an oversight and we apologize for the inconvenience.

Speaker:
Aaron Tidwell
Aaron Tidwell is a respected speaker, workshop, seminar, and retreat leader for a variety of audiences. He is known for his enthusiastic and engaging approach toward youth ministry.. For the last 17 years, Aaron has served as Director of Family Ministry at Trinity Lutheran Church, Manhattan Beach, California enriching the youth through music and laughter.

Band: Tangled Blue
Aimée and Joel, of Tangled Blue, first met in 1995. They performed together for the very first time in the summer of 2000, Aimée (vocals, percussion) and Joel (vocals, guitar). In 2001 Aimée and Joel were married and began performing together as Tangled Blue. The band has a unique sound that incorporates latin and electronic percussion as well as acoustic and electric guitars. The music and infectious melodies are a caffeinated folk-rich blend of songs, designed to engage the listener. Tangled Blue has traveled more than 290.000 miles of U.S. Highways performing at churches, coffee shops, colleges, youth gatherings and festivals. Website.
