"Blessings, Witness, Hope" was first shown at the Rocky Mountain Synod Assembly, April 27, 2012, to give thanks for the 18 years that Bishop Allan Bjornberg has served as a synod bishop in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The Rocky Mountain Synod is comprised of 165 congregations in Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, and El Paso, Texas.

A hymn commissioned by the Rocky Mountain Synod to express gratitude to Bishop Allan Bjornberg for his 18 years as bishop. The text is by Susan Briehl and the tune is by Mark Mummert. Recorded at the closing worship of the Rocky Mountain Synod Assembly, April 28, 2012. Copyright permission is granted for us in RMS congregations through 2012.

The Rocky Mountain Synod elected James Gonia as Bishop on the fifth ballot on Saturday, April 28, 2012. The election took place in Colorado Springs, Colorado during the April 26-28 Assembly.

The Rocky Mountain Synod expressed gratitude to Bishop Allan Bjornberg for his 18 years serving as bishop on April 27. Bishops Mark Hanson and Murray Finck expressed words of gratitude and thanksgiving.

The Rocky Mountain Synod expressed gratitude to Bishop Allan Bjornberg for his eighteen years serving as bishop by presenting to him a commissioned hymn, "Lift up your Eyes" with text by Susan Briehl and tune by Mark Mummert. The hymn weaves together texts from the psalms with images of the Rocky Mountain Synod, which capture our "Landscapes of Faith," which was the assembly theme.
