We provide executive leadership to church and special units of Women of the ELCA throughout the Rocky Mountain Synod.  We cover a five state region including Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming, and the region of Texas near El Paso.

The Executive Board of RMSWO (Rocky Mountain Synodical Women's Organization) meets 3 to 4 times annually to review the budget, programs, and needs of women in our synod.  We also use these times to plan our biennial business (even years) Convention and our biennial Fall Gathering (odd years).

We provide counseling and administration for Cluster Coordinators who assist local church and special units in their respective conferences

In conjunction with the churchwide office of Women of the ELCA, we support several ongoing programs, including:

In the Fall of odd numbered years, we organize and sponsor a gathering for Women of the ELCA and any of their guests and friends.  During this gathering we promote the current Bible Study found in the Lutheran Women Today magazine.  In addition to the focus on the Bible Study, we also provide various workshops in a wide range of spiritual topics.

The next Fall Gathering is scheduled for 2005 in Colorado Springs, CO.

In the Fall of even numbered years, our biennial business meeting is held.  During this meeting, we elect new leadership, receive inspiration from several top quality guest speakers, entertain new business, approve our budget for the upcoming two years, attend spiritual workshops, and get to know other women from throughout the Synod.

During these conventions, the Women of the ELCA in the Rocky Mountain synod often engage in the "business" of God by passing resolutions ... resolving our hearts to support certain faith based efforts.
