Special duties are sometimes filled by board members, but may also be
appointed to women who do not serve on the board. There are currently
several special offices, including: Newsletter
Editor, Websteward, Cluster
Administrator, Sister Synod Coordinator, Prison Ministry
Coordinator, Convention Coordinator, Fall Gathering
Coordinator, and Nominations Committee Chair.

| Newsletter Editor |
The newsletter editor is responsible for soliciting input for articles,
editing and layout of content, maintaining subscription addresses, collecting
subscription fees, and coordinating mailing and distribution of the
newsletter.
The Views from the Rockies
is published quarterly with a special Convention issue distributed
during even numbered years.

| Websteward |
|
The position of Websteward is a new and challenging position that
opened up in the Fall of 2002. Duties of the Websteward include soliciting
contributions, layout and maintenance of web pages, monitoring the common email
inbox, and promotion of the website.
Our current Websteward is always seeking new ideas, input, and help with the
website. If you are interested in assisting with our current website, or
would like to consider filling the position permanently in the near future,
please contact us!

| Sister Synod Coordinator |
|
A few years ago, Stephanie Wilson traversed the seas to visit our Sister
Synod of Madagascar, off the south-eastern African coast. Stephanie had
the opportunity to meet and work with women and families in Madagascar. If
you have questions about how to help the Betela seminary and to support ELCA
mission work in Madagascar, Stephanie is a great person to talk to!
At our 2002 convention, we passed several resolutions indicating our commitment
to support relations with our Sister Synod of Madagascar. Read the

| Prison Ministry Coordinator |
|
In the year 2000, resolutions to help support prison ministry in our synod
were passed. Carole Cameron has indicated a special interest in helping to
rejuvenate our commitment to incarcerated women. If you would like to
start a ministry program to bring the hope of Christ into the lives of women in
prison, contact Carole.

| Nominating Committee Chair |

The Nominations Committee Chair assists the board in soliciting
interested parties to run for the Board at our Fall Convention, held in even
