As women, we represent the bulk of purchasing power in our own homes. And that my friends is a tremendous amount of economic power. We have the ability to wield our buying power on behalf of Christ! How you ask...
Spring into Fair Trade with Lutheran World Relief!
The LWR Chocolate Project web store is now featuring fairly traded, milk chocolate mini-eggs for Easter. The eggs are made of the same Divine-brand chocolate that nearly 1,000 Lutheran parishes and individuals have ordered as a way to support small-scale cocoa farmers in Ghana. To please minds and hearts as well as mouths, free leaflets explaining fair trade are available with each order of chocolate. Visit the web store at
www.lwr.org/chocolate.
The Spring/Summer 2005 LWR Handcraft Project catalog will soon be ready. Artisans use their handcraft income to feed their families, educate their children, access medical care, and improve their communities. In return, you receive finely made handcrafts and the assurance that your purchase contributes to a life of dignity for the producer. Your catalog will arrive soon -- in the meantime, you can shop online at

Make a world of difference by hosting a Lutheran World Relief Fair Trade Fair in your parish and community with fairly traded handcrafts, coffee, tea and chocolate from around the world. Every sale benefits the producers of these items—and your parish and community members get high-quality products. Watch for your information packet coming soon or log on to
www.lwr.org/handcraft to download the packet. A great event to include at synod or district assemblies, women’s conventions and youth gatherings! For
