| Convention Success |

Over one hundred women attended the 2006 RMSWO Convention, held at First
Lutheran Church in Colorado Springs, CO, Sept. 15th - 17th. The Theme was
"Spirit Driven" with the Theme Verse:
1 Corinthians 12:4 “There are a variety of gifts, but all
the same Spirit”
Kay Bengston, founder of the Lutheran Office of Governmental Ministry, served
as keynote speaker challenging us to identify how Spirit Driven people can work
for justice. Special Guests included Cam Martin of the churchwide Women of
the ELCA office who addressed the "-isms" that exist and how we can
break down the walls that separate us from our fellow women and men.

| Resolutions Passed |
|
Resolutions serve as guides to the incoming board for issues that the Women of
the Rocky Mountain Synod feel strongly about. Resolutions that pass are
used to assist the board in creating goals for the their term of office
Resolution 1 - Provide resources and training to establish new units and
renew existing ones, and further develop and train small groups of women to
visit churches that do not have active units. Full

Synod (FITEMA) - sending letters of support and encouragement & pictures
