September 30-October 2, 2001 in Colorado Springs, CO. At this meeting the board

- Approved 5-Year Goals for five Strategic Issues & drafted a SMART plan
for 2001-2002
- Finalized plans for the Creative Art Contest with a GROW theme
- Accepted Financial Audit & developed a tentative budget for 2002-2003.
- Supported Stephanie Wilson (UT) as synodical Global Training Advocate to
Madagascar
- Approved Stephanie Bowes Scholarship for Amy Mortenson (CO) to attend 2001
Fall Gathering
- Congratulated Kim Gonia (CO) on churchwide scholarship to attend Iliff
School of Theology
- Made preliminary plans for synodical participation at the Triennial
Convention in Philadelphia for July 11-14, 2002
- Continued planning for Synodical Convention, October 11-13, 2002:
- Selected theme "Growing in the Light of God"
- Selected convention Scripture verses (I Corinthians 3: 7-9)
- Heard some convention committee reports
- Made plans for future board meetings:
- Denver, CO, January 11-13, 2002
- El Paso, TX, March 14-17, 2002
- Casper, WY, August 2-4, 2002
