 Hi!
My name is Kristen Baltrum, and I am a Deaconess with the
Lutheran Deaconess Association in Valparaiso, IN. I was
consecrated in 1993, and have been professionally involved
with Youth and Family Ministry ever since. I am currently
working on my Masters Degree in Youth and Family Ministry
through Luther Seminary. I love teenagers and am inspired by
the adults who like them as well. I am jazzed by all that
the Rocky Mountain Synod has going for Youth and Family
Ministry, and am excited to be a part of it.

 Paul
Judson is Associate Pastor for Youth and Household Ministry at
First Lutheran Church in Longmont, Colorado. After 18 years in
pastoral ministry with the last 14 years focused on youth
ministry in three calls, Pastor Paul still feels that there is
nothing like a Friday night lock-in at the church with at least
$100 damage to report to the church council or a service project
with youth that includes football players washing pots and pans
in a soup kitchen. (Yes, there are stories behind these
comments.) He feels that there are three essential parts to
quality youth ministry. They are communication, community and
service. His motto... said with a bowl of water in hand... is,
"REMEMBER YOUR BAPTISM!"

am a Pastor at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Fort Collins,
CO. I work to make Youth and Family ministry a way of life for
the church. I have 4 years of experience as a Pastor as well as
an extensive camping ministry background. I enjoy playing games,
being outdoors, and spending time with my family.

Sarah Bjornebo, Deaconess |
My name is Sarah Bjornebo and I am a Deaconess with the Lutheran
Deaconess Association in Valparaiso, IN. I was consecrated in
1996 and worked as a chaplain for Good Shepherd Communities for
four years and as a Youth Minister for St. Phillip Lutheran
Church for two years. Before consecration I was a Youth
Counselor and Adventure Specialist for Lutheran Valley Retreats.
Throughout my career I worked with youth in national events,
statewide gatherings, and local organizations. Musical
leadership and dance is one of the gifts I bring to my ministry.
I am excited about empowering congregations to do real,
authentic, and high quality Youth and Household Ministry! |
