The Rocky Mountain Synod (RMS) has been invited by Lilly Endowment Inc. to apply for a second 3-year grant for the National Initiative to Address Economic Challenges Facing Rostered Leaders. We call the program and administer it under the name 3E: Educate, Equip, Enact. If awarded this second grant, our synod will receive $350,000 as a match to funds raised by us in the RMS to expand and build long-term sustainability of our efforts to address these challenges.
From 2017 to now, 90 rostered leaders and candidates have entered the process to receive grants through 3E’s Ministerial Excellence Fund (MEF). These grants increase capacity for healthy ministry by alleviating education, credit card, or medical debt and helping supplement retirement savings or continuing education. Through this survey, we invite congregational and rostered leaders to help us understand what economic areas you are most concerned about in your congregation and where you believe you can best support our 3E efforts to help alleviate these challenges. Your responses to these questions are deeply valued. Your answers are anonymous—neither your name nor your email are requested or associated with your response. Deadline is June 3rd.
