Holy Cross Lutheran Church (ELCA) invites applications for a half-time professional position as Organist/Pianist-Music Coordinator. The primary role of the Organist/Pianist is to enhance worship services by accompanying congregational singing, choirs, and ensembles and providing additional organ/piano music. The Music Coordinator role involves planning musical aspects of the worship, including selecting hymns and liturgy, in collaboration with the pastor and other music staff. Holy Cross Lutheran Church has an exceptional Layton/Rodgers organ, dedicated volunteer musicians, and a strong music tradition which is an integral part of the life of this congregation. Applicants need professional training and performance ability on organ and piano, experience accompanying singers, and a knowledge of church music and hymnody sufficient to program Lutheran worship in a progressive congregation.
