Spiritual Direction & Coaching

Spiritual renewal and faithful leadership

Seeking to live well in mind, body and spirit is a personal journey, undertaken for personal reasons. Spiritual direction and coaching provides opportunities for spiritual renewal, resilience, and the capacity to handle what life throws at you, and to see and find God's presence in the midst of life's challenges and opportunities. The Rocky Mountain Synod has curated the following lists of Spiritual Directors and Coaches who are ready to walk with you in your life and faith, whatever you are going through.

Spiritual Direction

Spiritual direction is a practice of spiritual companionship—creating space to listen with another person for God’s presence, God’s personal communication, and the movements of the Holy Spirit in the details of real life. Over time, it invites deeper discernment: learning to notice what arises within us, to tell the difference between our own desires and God’s invitation, and to trust what we’re hearing. Spiritual direction helps people discern the Spirit’s presence and leading in real time—especially when God’s call doesn’t neatly align with our own will.

Coaching

The International Coach Federation (ICF) defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. For many, coaching is a life-changing experience that dramatically improves their outlook on work and life while improving leadership skills. Coaching helps people tap into their potential, unlocking sources of creativity and productivity.
